We need to identify the weavers of our parish through the census records.
The cloth would have been waulked by women after it was completed but there is also a record of a Waulking Mill at Achacha in the latter part of the 1700's .. the Waulker went to Achosregan in Appin from here.
Would like to learn more about the Waulk Mills - (walk / waulk / wake - miln / mill / milne)
