The Smithy is probably one of our oldest iconic venacular buildings.
It stands just at the south of the village, beneath the looming cliffs of Craigneuk, (formerly Dunvalanrigh)

Blacksmith : John MacArthur .. known as Gobhain Mohr

1929 : Joan MacArthur left the smithy to marry Cecil Campbell, moving to live in Kintaline until she passed in 1990.
1980's re-roofed to be used as a stable.
