Ardchattan and Muckairn, an united parish in Argyle-shire, 86m from Dunkeld. It stands on Loch etive, which falls into Ardmuckenish bay, and contains 572 houses and 3089 inhabitants; of whom 159 families are employed in trade. Beinn Cruachan, one of the highest mountains in Scotland, is in this parish. Here are many druidical monuments, cairns and obelisks.
