The population of Ardchattan gleaned from various sources
Will need to find out exactly what area is included as our boundaries have varied considerably over the centuries.
In general the parish covers the area from the top of GlenUre, south Glen Creran, south Loch Creran, around the headland of Barcaldine Castle, Isle of Eriska, Lochnell House, to North Connel at Loch Etive, the north shores of Loch Etive to Bonawe, across the loch to River Awe, the north shores of River Awe around south Ben Cruachan to Stronmilichan, around the edges of Ben Cruachan to the watershed to Glenoe, Glenkinglass north to Glen Etive up to where it meets Glencoe.
The River Awe sections came and went, and in the 1900's we lost Glen Etive.
