1891 Census Lanarks., Cambuslang, Turnpike Road, Rosebank, recorded, (transcription):- Malcolm MacLucas (18 ), Student in Arts, son, born Ardchattan; Neil MacLucas (53), Blacksmith, born Argyleshire, Kilfinichan (transcript does not record whether widow, married or what); siblings, and a sister-in-law to the head of household - Christina McDonald (54), born Ardchattan.

The Glasgow Herald, Thursday, 16th November, 1916.
"Deaths on Service.
MACLUCAS.- Died on 15th November, at 2nd Northern General Hospital, Leeds, of wounds received in action on 8th October, 1916, Private Malcolm MacLucas, Canadian Overseas Forces, beloved husband of Grace Scott."
Same publication but the following day's notices, where the original notice is extended:- " … Canadian papers please copy; military funeral from St. Enoch Station, 9.30 a.m. today to Rutherglen."
