The Lorn Furnace Company ran from 1752-1813

People involved included Campbell of Lochnell
Records of the company are held in National Library of Scotland GB233/MS.993-995

Initially the furnace was up at Glenkinglas, but then moved down to Bonawe
Bonawe was founded in 1753, and was most complete charcoal-fuelled ironworks in Britain.
Ainslie & Co were the company which traded as Ironmasters at Bonawe
The Bonawe furnace remains as a [| Historic Scotland property in care].
