: Angus McCallum CP - Malcolm McKenzie 1755
- of Fascnacloich, who served in America with the 74th Regiment, formerly the 71st. He was discharged in 1790 aged 35 years.1
- Paul McColl 1749 -
- joined as a private solder, discharged after 17 years aged 42 - "being lame of the forefinger of the right hand from being frost bitten, and worn out by the fatigues of fourteen years of service in America, including the period of the war - rendered unfit for service.2
- Duncan McColl 1730
- joined up when he was 40 and discharged having been wounded and being "aged" at 62 !3

- John McLaren CP 1770-
- Sergeant; became CP in 1802 aged 32 years after 9 years service.5
- Archie McPhail 1778-
- joined up at 18, he had been working as an agricultural labourer, the cause of his discharge in 1803 was "Withered Arm". He saw action in 1800, maybe in the Cape of Good Hope.6
