Chalybeate Spring

At Ardentinny is a Chalybeate spring, turning the shallow beach red
Ferruginous (iron rich) springs emerge from oxidising pyritic and glauconitic sediments in places
We have no idea how well known or used this was
In other places the powers of these springs were well known and used back in Bronze Age times : for example History of the Chalybeate Springs of St. Moritz

We are creating the skeleton of this wiki for the community, near and far, to work together to develop an encyclopedia of the natural, family and social history of Ardchattan.
