Ardmucknish Bay

Ardmucknish bay, (Bay of the Pigs) or Tralee Bay is a very popular sandy beach, making up part of the Keil Crofts Common Grazing.

In the Second World War, the sheltered bay was often populated by ships waiting to leave for the Atlantic Convoy. As a consequence was a target for German bombers, and in December 1940 the Breda was sunk and remains in the bay to this day as a popular diving site.
