Connel Bridge was completed.
on the 23rd March there was an incident where 3 men were swept off the bridge, 2 were caught up in the safety net, but the third was not and was swept out to sea in the rapids of the Falls of Lora
His name was Duncan Cameron, a young 20 year old apprentice joiner from Strontian.
