Cromwells men burned down Ardchattan Priory
and forced name changes in the area, like the change from Dun valan righ to Craigneuk
Blaeu Map has a great deal of detail of the area, with many of our parish places named. Still some to identify
Baile Mhaodain kirk [ministers | minister] was Archibald McCalman (1641-1654).
There was then a long gap until Rev. Colin Campbell in 1667, all records are lost.
