1. Copy contract between Archibald, earl of Argyle, and John Campbell, brother of deceased Duncan Campbell of Glenurquhay, whereby said Archibald gives said John and his heirs, ward, relief and nonentries of lands and barony of Glenurquhay, Lochaw, Kilbryde, Lorne, Braylorne, Appin, Lesmore, Benderloche, and Saile, pertaining to granter by decease of Duncan Campbell of Glenurquhay, kt., Colin Campbell of Glenurquhay, kt., his son, and Duncan Campbell, son of said Colin, 3 June 1536.
Witnesses: John Campbell of Lochnell, John McCoule of Rayrane, Alexander McGregor of Glenstrae, Ronald Campbell apparent heir of Carwane, Duncan Campbell captain of the Carrik, Mr Archibald McAviccar, provost of Kilmon, Mr Donald Broune, parson of Lochaw, Mr Archibald McCarbre, parson of Kilquhonnan, and Mr Gilbert McColleman, vicar of Lochgoyle.
